One of the top requests we get at CHEQ is for the ability to connect our industry-leading traffic and threat intelligence  with third party tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, AEP, and Amplitude. In addition, clients want to be able to pass that data as dimensions to Google, Meta, Bing, and Tik Tok. We’ve also heard about enterprises wanting to send our traffic classifications to CDPs like Segment, Adobe Realtime CDP, Salesforce Data Cloud, Oracle Unity, Treasure Data, Hightouch, and others.

You get the idea.

As-of today, we support all of them. Every. Single. One.

How did we do it? It’s simple – we fundamentally changed the way we think about connecting to platforms and consolidated (yes, you read that right) our connectors to 2 insanely powerful methodologies.

  1. Our Data Layer Connector.
  2. Our Power Connector. Dive in below!

The Data Layer Connector

In short, the Data Layer Connector is the best way you can connect to any platform on the front-end. What is a data layer? Here’s some light reading on what is a data layer – or just ask your analytics team if you want to know more.

So what’s the big deal with this approach? When you use our data layer connector, you are able to integrate our precise detection data directly into any tool being deployed by your tag management system (like CHEQ Manage, Google Tag Manager or Adobe Launch). Any. Tool. Using an Event-Driven Data Layer (like GTM), straight-up JavaScript variables (similar to W3C data layers), local storage, or cookies? We love that for you. And, they all work.

Don’t have one? Totally fine, too. If you’re unfamiliar, use our Help Center guide to understand how it works. Still need support? We have a world-class services team that will hook you up faster than you can say “CHEQ it out y’all” (okay, that was bad).

If you’ve worked with CHEQ before, you know that our approach to traffic intelligence and bot detection combines both hardware and behavioral signals to determine a verdict. That means while the Data Layer Connector  is great,we do have to think about timing with this approach. For example, if you want to get our data with every single pageview it might mean you have to send another server call to “patch” our data in. For many teams, that works! For some though, it means a different approach may be better. Luckily, that’s where the Power Connector comes in.

The Power Connector

What is the Power Connector besides a fun name we made up? It’s cloud storage that contains all of the records we collect . As a CHEQ customer, you might want to pipe CHEQ data into whatever system, whether it’s BigQuery, AEP, Amplitude, or any other tool that can consume that data. And, you’re entitled to ALL of YOUR data… without the need to send extra server calls! We provide a way to ingest this data that isn’t being done by any other platform.

Without giving away all of the secret sauce, we focus on collecting identities. Sounds simple, but in practice there’s a lot more to it behind the scenes. Here’s how it works: you give us a first-party identifier and we hook up all of the wires needed to ensure every session is classified by our engine, ready to be shipped and connected to [insert whatever tool you want].

Final Thoughts

We’ve found that people get the most value from CHEQ when they’re able to analyze our data in the context of their everyday workflows, and we agree. That’s why we spent so much time simplifying the process so you can make better decisions faster and on your terms. We’d love to show you how this works. Why don’t you reach out and take it for a test drive?
