Gartner has named CHEQ to its prestigious “Cool Vendor” list for 2020, under the “AI for Marketing” category
Gartner, the world’s leading business research and advisory company, has named CHEQ to its prestigious “Cool Vendor” list for 2020, under the “AI for Marketing” category. Companies previously named to Gartner’s Cool Vendor list include Zoom, Moovit, Cybereason, Snowflake, Gong, Datorama, Wrike, and many other leading SaaS unicorns. CHEQ has been recognized for its introduction of cutting-edge cybersecurity to the marketing space, allowing advertisers to secure their campaigns from non-human, inauthentic, and invalid traffic.
“This is a fantastic achievement that speaks to the innovative nature of our company” said CHEQ founder and CEO Guy Tytunovich. “We have been building an entirely new category, ‘Ad Security, ’ while introducing know-how and technology from the cybersecurity space to take the fight against ad fraud and click fraud to the next level. We’ve been fortunate to experience rapid growth and adoption along with many industry accolades, and finishing this year on Gartner’s Cool Vendor list is really the icing on the cake.”
Gartner Analyst Andrew Frank elaborated on CHEQ’s selection: “Most ad verification solutions react to fraud by monitoring traffic and detecting anomalies in digital ad campaigns when they occur. In contrast, CHEQ takes a pre-emptive approach to fraud prevention by using honeypots — that is, sites designed to attract and identify malicious traffic. It blocks scrapers and web crawlers, botnets, click farms, out-of-geography clicks, and suspicious human-driven behavior such as competitor clicks and affiliate fraud before they can affect a live campaign. It has also developed advanced bot mitigation technology to reliably distinguish between human and computer-generated activity. Its real-time capabilities can analyze a web event in 120 milliseconds, which is particularly helpful during real-time bidding of ads. It provides analysis of blocked impressions, supplies log-level data to remove bots from campaign attribution, and uses ML to predict and eliminate future threats.”
CHEQ’s selection caps off a bountiful year for the cyber security company, which was also named Ad Fraud Solution of the Year (The Drum), Best Search Software of the Year (The Drum), and Best AI-Driven Ad Fraud Solution of the Year (Corporate Vision Magazine).
